Doctors in Secondary School program
The Doctors in Secondary Schools program provides primary health care services to 100 Victorian government secondary schools. UFS Medical provides GPs and Practice Nurses to onsite primary care weekly at Phoenix P-12 Community College and Mount Rowan Secondary College. The service to Beaufort Secondary College and Ararat College occurs once a fortnight. The objectives of the program are to make primary health care more accessible to students, provide assistance to young people to identify and address any health problems early and to reduce the pressure on working parents and community-based GPs.
